A developing situation involving a lecturer from Benue State University has drawn public attention following reports of an alleged physical assault tied to political disagreements.

According to claims circulating on social media, the incident involves an individual identified as Saint Ralph Okekeni, who was reportedly attacked by a lecturer, John Ogi. A legal practitioner, Ikande Victoria, brought further visibility to the situation through a post shared on her Facebook page. In her statement, she expressed concern over the reported incident and called for justice, emphasizing the importance of equality before the law.

 Nothing should happen to Saint Ralph Okekeni. Nobody's life is more sacred and no one is above the law!

In a follow-up response to a comment, she added that she had received a distress call from the alleged victim.

 I got a distress call from Saint Raph last night that he was physically attacked by John Ogi. He sustained injuries but he is stable and fine at the moment.

As of now, there has been no official statement released by Mr John Ogi.

This incident, if confirmed, highlights ongoing concerns  are expected to investigate the matter thoroughly to ensure accountability and uphold the rule of law.
